The doctor assesses whether your concern involves skin, fat or muscle. Discuss previous threads, fillers or surgery, implanted metal or electronics, possible pregnancy and medicines. Thin skin or low facial fat may call for a different approach.
After assessment, the clinician selects treatment area, depth and energy, with cooling or pain control as appropriate. Report intense heat or sharp pain immediately. Shot count alone does not define coverage or results.
Redness, puffiness or tenderness may occur. Moisturize, protect from sunlight and follow instructions for bathing, exercise and massage. Review changes over time before scheduling further care. A course count is not a prescribed annual frequency.
Possible complications include burns, pigmentation, numbness, nerve symptoms and unwanted volume changes. Contact the clinic promptly for blistering, severe pain or persistent changes in sensation or expression. Results and recovery vary.
