Why Ear
Ears that lie flat against the head are barely visible from the front. Give the ear presence in the frontal view and the eye travels horizontally rather than vertically, so the midface reads shorter and the face appears smaller. The result is the 'elf ear' silhouette that appears when you tuck your hair back — created with hyaluronic acid alone, no incision.
A visible ear draws the eye sideways, so the vertical length of the face becomes less prominent.
The rim of the ear appears from the front, adding dimension and making tucked-back hairstyles work.

Technique
Hyaluronic acid is placed at the base of the ear to act as a strut, tilting the whole ear forward. Volume and injection points are planned according to how flat the ear sits.
When the rim of the ear is thin and hard to see from the front, volume along the helix creates a visible frontal edge.
If needed, the lobe is softly filled — a gentle roundness that carries earrings well.

Flow

Anaesthetic cream is applied to keep discomfort minimal.
Filler is placed gradually at the base, helix and lobe.
We explain aftercare, and you go home the same day.
Recovery
Swelling peaks. The ear may feel tender or firm to the touch. Cool the area and take the prescribed medication. Washing your face is fine from day one; wash your hair from the next day (the injection site is protected with waterproof dressing).
Swelling subsides and the shape settles. Washing and showering as usual.
Close to the final result. Once settled, a touch-up or additional volume can be discussed.
Duration is typically one to one and a half years, varying with the product, your tissue and daily habits.
Small daily pressures add up and shorten how long the result lasts. Keep pressure off the ear wherever you can.
Safety
If you experience severe pain or a change in skin colour after treatment, contact the clinic immediately. Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved and corrected with hyaluronidase.
FAQ
Topical anaesthetic cream is applied before injection, so discomfort during treatment is usually very mild. For a few days after the anaesthetic wears off, the ear may feel tender when touched.
Typically one to one and a half years, with individual variation. Keeping pressure off the ear extends the result. A touch-up or additional volume can be discussed from two weeks onward.
Yes. Swelling peaks over about three days, and because the area is largely covered by hair it is relatively discreet. You can wash your face the same day and your hair from the next day.
